HİD / HİT gathers the hydraulic side of the heat pump in a wall-hung casing the size of a combi boiler. It transfers the heating and cooling energy produced by the outdoor unit to the circuits in the building, with no need to set aside a separate boiler room or a large plant room. It can be mounted on the utility balcony of an apartment or on a corridor wall in a small office or shop. The casing of the 8–12 kW models measures 510 × 1000 × 350 mm.
Built into the casing
The expansion vessel, the circulation pump, the main and auxiliary heat exchangers and the main hydraulic block are inside the unit; no separate pump group is installed on site. The circulation pump is made by Grundfos. Because the hydraulic lines are made of copper and brass, there is little wear from corrosion and scale. The sound level is between 18 and 23 dB(A) at 1 metre.
Hot water
There is no tank in the casing; domestic hot water is prepared in an external cylinder. Depending on the model, the cylinder that can be connected holds 80, 100, 125 or 140 litres. In homes with solar collectors, the collector line is connected to the system through the second Grundfos pump in the unit.
Cooling options
Cooling is done with water: the unit supplies a fan coil or underfloor cooling circuit. If direct-expansion cooling is wanted in a particular room, a wall-mounted air conditioner indoor unit can be added to the unit.
Configured for the heating system
With the additional setting switches on the control board, the unit is set up for one of three scenarios: heating only; heating and cooling; or heating, cooling and hot water. The same switches adapt it to different system layouts, such as a single or twin coil cylinder or a circuit with a heat exchanger; which one to choose is decided by the system design.
Outdoor unit pairing
HİD / HİT is built in five capacity classes (8, 10, 12, 14, 16 kW) and pairs with the Poyraz, Vaha and Boran outdoor units. The class is determined by the power of the outdoor unit to be connected and the building's heat loss.
